Operation

The unfiltered liquid is fed into the filter under positive pressure. The liquid flows downward and passes through the side openings of the filter plates.
As the pressure increases, the filter media captures impurities and retains solid particles, allowing only the clear filtrate to pass through the central channel formed by the interlocking pressure cups and then exit through the filtrate outlet.
Filtration continues until:

• The cake holding capacity is reached, or

• The filtrate flow rate becomes too slow due to cake resistance.
