A Cyclone
Separator is a mechanical air and material separation device designed to remove
particulates from an air or gas stream using centrifugal force. It is widely
used as a primary stage separation system for dust, powder, chips, granules, or
particulate contaminants in various process industries. As the
dust-laden air enters the cyclone housing tangentially, a vortex is formed,
forcing heavier particles toward the walls due to centrifugal action. These
particles lose momentum and fall into the collection chamber or discharge
valve, while the cleaned air exits from the top outlet. Cyclone
separators operate without filters, media, or moving parts, making them highly
reliable and maintenance-friendly solutions for pre-filtration, process
recovery, and dust control applications.
